Diljit Dosanjh’s Historic Coachella Performance Receives Praises from Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Badshah
Diljit Dosanjh, the popular Punjabi singer-actor, made history by becoming the first Punjabi artist to perform at the Coachella music festival in California, US. The event was praised by several Bollywood A-listers, including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Badshah, and others.
Diljit shared a clip from his performance on Instagram and asked his fans to tune into the music festival’s live stream on YouTube. In the video, Diljit can be seen performing with his band and a group of dancers, dressed in a black kurta-pajama, a puffer jacket, and black-and-white sneakers along with yellow gloves.
Alia Bhatt, who acted with Diljit in his debut Bollywood film Udta Punjab, shared the video on her Instagram Stories and captioned it “EPIC!!!!!” She also tagged Diljit and added clapping hands and party face emojis. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who shared the screen with Diljit in 2016’s Udta Punjab and 2019’s Good Newwz, lauded the singer-actor’s feat and wrote, “The OG (red heart, star and star eyes emojis) Ufff (star emoji),” while Sonam Kapoor and Kriti Sanon took to Instagram to laud Diljit’s historic feat.
Varun Dhawan added the video to his Instagram Stories with the caption “Historic with a GOAT emoji,” while rapper Badshah tagged Diljit on his post and simply wrote, “History.” Actor Arjun Kapoor also took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “G.O.A.T,” while Canadian comedian Lily Singh shared it with the caption “THE GOATTTTT” with crying emoji and red heart emoji. Actor Arjun Rampal, Punjabi artiste Jassie Gill, and rapper Raja Kumari also praised the rapper.
Apart from sharing the video clip, Diljit also shared several images from his time in Coachella on Instagram.
